Nekton in the media:
Have been going to Nekton whenever I have been home from college and it uses very similar overall performance drills, lifts, and recovery methods as the D1 school I went to. Most recently, I went in for a pulled hamstring that has been nagging me and after I used Nektons recovery method I left with no pain in my hamstring. He fit me in last second because I needed to get recovery before my fall camp for college football.
Jake, Hailey and crew have been so wonderful! My 11 year old loves going to Nekton year round. He says it’s one of his favorite places to go, because they know how to get him to work hard, and have fun doing it! He’s been working with Jake and Hailey for over a year now for hockey training, and he considers them a part of his family! I couldn’t ask for a better place for him to train, as they build him up spiritually, physically and mentally, while working him to push himself to be his best.
My boys ages 12 and 10 have been going to Nekton for over a year now in small group and just the two of them. They absolutely love it! Jake, Hailey and everyone who has worked with the boys have been amazing. Nekton has become a part of our weekly routine and we cannot imagine it without them. They help the boys stay on point with general physical fitness, which in turn helps with lacrosse, basketball, and baseball in our home. We appreciate all they have done and continue to do for us.
Our twin boys, Kaden and Logan, have been working out with Jake and team for over a year and a half; basically since Nekton opened it’s doors. I have nothing but good things to say about Nekton; Jake, Hailey and everyone involved. Our boys have made significant strides in their performance since working with Nekton. They are stronger, faster and jumping higher. The individual attention that the boys get at Nekton is awesome, Jake goes out of his way to help and make sure they are doing everything they can to improve.
Our son has been training at NSP since the beginning and I can’t say enough good things! Not only has there been improvement in fundamental skills, but he’s getting so much more than that- a Christian led training approach that translates to life beyond sports. Once old enough, our other children will train here as well!
Over the past 2 summers I have been going to Nekton to get better at hockey. The training from them has helped my hockey skills immensely. Especially my shooting. The trainers have also been very good to talk to and are amazing at what they do. In particular Jake is a really good motivator and has made working hard fun. I would definitely recommend, and will tell you from experience that the price is worth it.
Our kids have been involved with Nekton since it opened and we couldn’t be more impressed! Not only have they improved performance wise because of the huge variety of weights and plyometric training along with synthetic ice for my hockey players but Jake and his crew are amazing role models for these kids and help enforce morals, ethics and integrity. Nekton is an amazing addition to the community.
Today the kids and I were having a conversation about being happy for others and positive talk vs negative talk. Luke brought up “lifting each other up” and was proud to say he learned that from his time at Nekton. I am thankful that we are lucky enough to have a facility in our community that not only helps young athletes improve their athlete abilities but also teaches them important values.
I really like is that our boys are not just learning how to train but also how to be healthy; how to couple training with eating the right things and getting the right amount of rest basically to be a healthy individual. Nekton Sports Performance is a great asset to the Hutchinson community!
