Hockey skills
Enhance your
hockey game
At Nekton Sports Performance, we provide specialized hockey training sessions designed to develop a wide range of skills critical for success on the ice. Our sessions focus on:
- Skating – Improving speed, agility, and efficiency.
- Stickhandling – Enhancing control, creativity, and puck handling.
- Shooting – Developing accuracy, power, and quick release.
- Passing – Perfecting passing techniques for game situations.
State-of-the-Art Training Facilities
We are proud to offer a comprehensive training environment that goes beyond traditional ice time, with both indoor and outdoor options to enhance player development:
Indoor Synthetic Ice Rink (1,500 sq/ft): Our synthetic ice rink replicates the feel and performance of real ice, allowing players to practice skating, stickhandling, passing, and shooting year-round, regardless of weather conditions. This versatile space provides a unique opportunity to work on essential hockey skills in a controlled, private setting.
Outdoor Ice Rink (5,000 sq/ft): For athletes looking to experience the feel of real ice, our outdoor rink provides the perfect training environment. This rink allows players to practice on authentic ice, giving them the opportunity to work on skills, edge work, and skating techniques in a realistic setting. Whether refining skating mechanics or enhancing agility, this rink offers the space and conditions needed to develop key aspects of a player’s game.
Weight Room and Turf Area: In addition to ice-focused training, we provide access to a fully equipped weight room and turf area. These spaces are crucial for developing overall athleticism through strength training, speed development, agility drills, and conditioning. These dryland training options are integrated into our sessions to ensure well-rounded player development.
Custom Programming Tailored to Your Goals
We understand that each athlete has unique goals and needs. Our training sessions are fully customizable to align with the specific objectives of each player. For example:
Athletes can split their time between the rink and dryland training, spending part of their session on skill development and the other on improving strength, speed, or endurance.
We also offer specialized programs for players focusing on different aspects of their game—whether it’s working on core skills or building explosive power through weight training and plyometrics.
Whether you’re looking to refine your on-ice performance or build off-ice strength and conditioning, our flexible programs are designed to meet the needs of athletes at any level.
